Commercial Loan Analyst
Job Description Summary
Support a proof-of-concept initiative focused on automating commercial lending processes. This role will initially perform key loan documentation and review activities manually to validate how the process should work, identify bottlenecks, and determine which activities can be effectively automated.
Key Responsibilities

• Review commercial loan packages and analyze documentation to determine whether all required information, signatures, terms, and supporting documents are present.
• Review loan documentation and accurately identify key terms, including rate, structure, collateral, and other critical loan attributes.
• Help determine the root cause of loan processing delays, such as missing documentation, signatures, or incomplete information.
• Translate manual loan review activities into recommendations for potential process automation and AI-enabled solutions.
• Work closely with technology and business teams to test and validate automation concepts and proof-of-concept solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve the commercial lending process based on hands-on experience and subject matter expertise.

Required Qualifications

• Strong commercial loan documentation and commercial lending experience.
• Ability to review complex loan packages and understand key terms, structures, collateral, and supporting documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing or inconsistent information.
• Comfortable working with AI, emerging technology, and technology-enabled business processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Banking experience combined with technology experience.
• Experience with process improvement, workflow optimization, or automation.
• Experience providing recommendations for improving manual processes.
• Familiarity with AI or intelligent document processing.
